OK I'm Busy, but I'm Trying Here!

SO this week in addition to the A list, which I'll get to, I did a silly quiz. Shamelessly stolen off a Lunatic's blog!

Which flock do you follow?
this quiz was made by alanna

Hopefully that worked...and now for the A List!

Books Anyone?
There's nothing quite like a good book. Of course, there's nothing quite like a really bad book, either, but that's usually another story (pun intended). ;)

What was the last book you read that you would recommend to someone else? Is there a book you recommend consistently to anyone that will listen? How often do you pick up a book for pleasure reading? Can you read multiple books at one time?

The last book I read that I recommended to someone was "Promises to Keep" by Susan Crandall. There are a lot of books I recommend to anyone and everyone. These include anything by Greg Iles, James Patterson, Richard North Patterson, Patricia Cornwell and these types of authors that consistently produce high quality suspenseful works. I'll also recomment the Harry Potter books to everyone, as well! I'm constantly reading a book for pleasure/relaxation, but rarely do I read multiple books at the same time. I may stitch several projects at the same time, but when it comes to books I'm an OOAT!

That's about it for me tonight, I've got to get back to packing, or sleeping or something aside from typing here! Have a good one everyone!

A Meme and Minor Life Update

In order to prevent my blog from becoming strictly a meme blog, I'm posting a small life update, but first the meme!

With the new television season in almost full swing and viewers finding some of their favorite shows in direct competition with others, this question seems fittingly appropriate. A great many folks resolve that with opposite coast satellite network channels, and others just let their Tivo box do the hard work. But before you had all that technology helping you, you had to make a decision - or flip a coin - to decide what to watch. But what if you were forced to be limited in what you get to watch...?

If you could watch only one thing on television and had to give up every other show, what would you watch (not counting the news, since you could get that from a newspaper)?

I don't remember ever being involved enough in so many prime time TV shows that this was ever an issue. However if it was, I would watch the show that I was more involved in. As far as giving up all TV with the exception of one show, I would probably choose to watch MASH, the only TV show I enjoy enough to buy the seasons on DVD!

And now for the life update!!!!

We're moving to Florida at the end of the month, and I'm frantically attempting to de-clutter, and clean this house so that we can get it sold! So there's not much happening in my world outside of that at this point.I've made some progress and since I'm winding school down for the kids in preparation for the move, I should start to see more progress in the next week or so! Somewhere in this mess is my sanity. If anyone finds it...please send it back home, as it may have simply run away!

Disposable Time (A List meme)

The term "disposable income" is commonly used to identify any monies left over after the "essentials" have been taken care of each month. The same idea could be applied to time - what's left over after the essentials: sleep, work, family demands.

So, how do you spend your "disposable time?"

Most of my time is not disposable, but I dispose of a lot of time sitting here reading and posting to boards! When I have a break, or am done schooling the kids during the day, I sit here to unwind a little before I get back to what I need to do. Sometimes, that is a cople hours, depending on how lost in "space" I get!

As a SAHM, my time is not scheduled by anyone but me, and the kids social/athletic requirements, so I can't truly say what is disposable time, and what is scheduled time as easily as if I worked from 9-5! I guess the disposable time is the time when I'm not meeting any of my family's requirements, and don't have to!

During that time, I'll surf, read, stitch or work Su Doku puzzles, depending on my mood!
