Its Been Awhile

DD is fussing at me to blog again, so I'm posting a quick update!

Vacation was great! One of the highlights was going to the Range with my dad and shooting his .22 rifle! Of my 5 shots, 3 of them landed where all 5 of his did! I was fairly impressed with myself. Had a great time visiting my sister and her family; The wedding was beautiful, although hot; the VA stitchers are the best!

Since then, DH went to FL for vacation and to work on his attempts to start a business with his friend, and look for a job which would allow them to work together better. He ended up with a job offer, and while we're waiting for the formal official offer letter, we're de-cluttering and preparing to move across country! I'm scared, nervous, excited and any other mixed emotion you can possibly think of! I've also been doing some thinking about how much work is required to get our house in tip-top selling shape...its scary! Oh well, that's a topic for another day. In the meanwhile, I'm going to attempt to start blogging more frequently, and keeping you all more up to date on what's really happening in my life! On these topics, I imagine much more will be coming in the future, as things progress, I'll post here, on how its all going!

In stitching news, due to the above mentioned chaos, I've dropped out of the Ornie RR, and am glad that the UFO RR is completing this round, so I can get moved without having to worry about other people's projects! Now for my question to all of you (ok shameless plug for comments here) Did I fall off the Wagon, or not?

Scenario: DH told me to buy a certain chart and supplies for said chart, since we were moving, and I had the perfect place to hang the project when done. So I did. I'm not sharing the project yet, but I will say its something I've sworn for years that I would never stitch! However, after working on a similar one in the UFO RR, and loving it, I decided I wanted to do one of these projects, so that's what I'm going to do! So what do you think, am I now a fallen Queen, or am I still in the King/Queen Challenge? I know what I think, but I'll let you all decide...please let me know your feelings on the subject! BTW, I did have a gift certificate for the chart and its shipping!
